Fast of Ashuraa?

Muslims who claim to follow The Prophet SAWW say that fasting on the Day of Ahuraa is highly acclaimed. This is a myth and it certainly does not show respect or reverence for The Prophet SAWW. The Prophet SAWW established a distinct identity of Al-Islam. How then could he simply follow a Jewish ritual, when he did not accept the Christian or Jewish method of calling people to prayers or observing either Saturday or Sunday as a Muslim holyday? Have Muslims become so blinded that they attribute such falsity to The Prophet SAWW. THE FAST OF ASHURAA IS A MYTH.
