Al-Iman Students show their Dedication

By Ramalah Jafar
Fundraisers, during which students raise money for the victims of natural disasters, orphans, water wells and various other philanthropic endeavors, have been common at Al-Iman School.

These fundraisers have often touched the lives of many who needed help and inculcate a sense communal responsibility among the students.

This time around Umair Sheik and Wissam Al-Harabi , students of grade 10 at Al-Iman, have actively engaged their peers Mehru and Romena, students of grade 12, to raise money for improvement of an already thriving library and an up to date gymnastic facility at the school. This is not the first time for Umair though, as he has raised money for the library and the Model United Nations last year as well. "Last year we raised enough money for some new books for the library and were able to discount the fee to half for the Model UN," says Umair.

This year he and his peers are aiming higher and hoping to push the envelope even more. "We are aiming for an even higher goal and hope to achieve it with the support of our faculty and the support of our students," added Umair.

The students are hoping to raise enough money to purchase special gym uniforms for the entire high school and books for the library and the yearbook.

These fundraisers are definitely not an easy task, yet it's a task that is "worth for all the bounties in the hereafter," says Umair.
