In the Name of Allah The Beneficent the Merciful
"And those who, when affliction visits them say, indeed, we are from Him and unto Him we will return" (2:156)
Imam Al-Khoei Foundation, New York regretfully announces the passing away of Hujjatul Islam wal Muslimeen (RahmatuLLAHI Alayhi) Sheikh Jawaad Al-Sahlani, father of our Sheikh, Hujjatul Islam wal Muslimeen Sheikh Fadhel Al-Sahlani and grandfather of Sheikh Ma'an Al-Sahlani. The late Sheikh Jawaad Al-Sahlani was buried in Najaf Al-Ashraf on Thursday, October 16, 2008. May ALLAH SWT for the sake of The Prophet SAWW and his Purified Progeny grant him proximity to His Chosen Ones and grant our Sheikh and the Al-Sahlani family strength to bear this great loss with patience.
Majlis Tarheem for Sheikh Jawad Al-Sahlani will be held at Imam Al-Khoei Islamic Center on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at 7:30 PM commencing with Salaatul Maghribain.
The Center will commemorate the Shahadah of our Sixth Imam, Hadhrat Imam Ja'far Al-Sadiq AS on Thursday, October 23, 2008 commencing with Salaatul Maghribain, followed by Fiqh, Du'a Kumayl, Ziyaratul Warith and Majlis Azaa to be delivered by Mawlana Anwer Ali. |
