Thu, 15 Dec 2005 13:01:00 Al-Khoei Foundation Expresses Concern at Remarks made against Ayatollah Sistani on Al Jazeera Television
The Imam Al-Khoei Benevolent Foundation has expressed its indignation at the recent defamatory remarks made against His Eminence The Grand Ayatullah Sayyid Ali Hussaini Al-Sistani on Al-Jazeera television. “The irreverent remarks made against Ayatullah Sistani were not worthy of broadcasting on any self-respecting medium”, said Sheikh Fadhel Al-Sahlani the Director of the Foundation’s branch in New York.
The Foundation has demanded a public retraction and apology from Al Jazeera calling upon it to review its irresponsible remarks to ensure sensitivity and respect for the emotions of millions of Muslims of Shia persuasion around the world.
The Foundation has already expressed its concerns to the State of Qatar through its Embassy in Washigton, D.C., and to the authorities of Al Jazeera International. Syed Meesam Razvi, UN Representative of the Foundation said, “We have done our part by expressing our concern, the onus is now upon them to take immediate notice of the senseless editorial policies of this entity.” |

These are the times when we should not be emotional but should try to look through a particular situation , a news item or a rumour. We in Pakistan are facing anti mujtahideen situations through our own innocent shias everyday. It is lack of knowledge and self respect. May Allah for the sake of Prophet Muhammad and His Holy Progeny guide such foolish souls.
Al Jazeera was always suspected to be an American stooge channel as CNN, Fox News, Sky News and the BBC had lost all credibility amongst the muslims so the US C.I.A established this particular Arabic so called Muslim News Channel which is trying to eat us from within. PLEASE all be aware as such people are very harmful to our nationhood and should be boycotted.
As far as Ayatullah Ali Sistani is concerned he is the Naib e Imam and the Custodian of Shias during the Ghaibat of Imam e Zamana A.S. May Allah protect The Grand Ayatullah Ali Sistani and hasten the reappearance of our Imam e Zamana A.S. Ameen.

All I can add to the honorable comments of my brothers is that it was AYATULLAH SISTANI who stood up for Islam, who insisted that the framework of the constitution in Iraq and laws arising therefrom would be from the Quran. He insisted people come out to vote and say goodbye to the occupying forces after forming a Government. He was unhappy with certain considerations injected by the USA regarding the voting in parliament. However, still he insisted that the legal course should be followed and everybodys right respected
Both Ayatullah Sistani and Ayatullah Khamenie are the Hassan and Hussain of our time. May Allah grant them long life so that the Muslim ummah benefits from their guidance. The learned Ayatullah is a bedrock of steadfastness, peace and security in a whirlpool of violence, intrigues , machinations and horrendous acts perpetuated by all know WHO. This like in other places has led to the death and murder of predominantly Shiites who were killed also in the decades before.
Al Jazeera in Qatar by offering unfounded opinions in such times in fact is destroying the fibre of muslim unity and perpetuating thougts which are against rallying muslims together. How it at convenient times airs the tapes for the benefit of others etc is something I wonder about. Much of it spews out is indeed deplorable.

Since the very start of the attempt to remove that monster Saddam Hussein from power who has not only oppressed Shia Muslims but Sunni Muslim Kurds and Sunni Arabs as well, Ayatulloh Sayyed AL-Sistani has been in the forefront of peace and Democracy in Iraq. Even when the Armies of the West including the U.S. hesitated to call elections, it was Ayatulloh Sayyed AL-Sistani who said elections must be held as a test of their Democracy in Iraq. It was the Grand Ayatulloh who told Bremmer that "we are both foreigners in Iraq (referring to the fact that the Grand Ayatulloh is of Iranian background) and as such the Iraqis need to decide for themselves and we cannot decide for them." This is a testament to the moral, intellectual, peace loving and advanced thinking of the Grand Ayatulloh in these affairs. He has proven over and over again in being the voice of reason even when others sought violence senselessly. He has been the voice of stability and protection of Holy Shrines in Iraq which came under attack from both sides. He has proven so much that he was offered the Noble Peace prize. So, to even suggest otherwise, AL JAZEERA, needs to be concerned about the truth rather than its mere ratings. Allah guides those He wishes, and there is no guidance from those who are sending fuel to the fires. Support of Ayatulloh Sayyed AL-Sistani is support for a future for Iraq and a justice the Iraqis are long overdue-all Iraqis regardless of sect, ethnic background or religion. This is something Al Jazeera needs to strongly look at before it attempts to defame the Grand Ayatulloh and his work for peace and stability in Iraq on a daily basis. May Allah extend his life and bless those who are on the right part of Islam.
