A delegation from Al-Khoei Foundation was received by General Mahmud Durrani, Pakistan’s Ambassador to United States in Washington, D.C.
The delegation was led by Syed Meesam Razvi who is a United Nations Representative of Al-Khoei Foundation in New York. The delegation also included Dr. Maqsood Jafri a renowned scholar and a poet and Ms. Zahra Hashmi a Pakistani woman activist.
The Ambassador was briefed about the activities and branches of the Foundation across the world.
Later, Dr. Maqsood Jafri highlighted the deplorable law and order situation in Pakistan and expressed his deep concerns on the targeted killings of Muslim scholars and clerics. He said that the government needs to pay special attention to curb and contain religious fanaticism and sectarianism.
During the meeting the ambassador was extended an invitation by Syed Meesam Razvi to visit the Al-Khoei Foundation in New York, which he accepted.
